1. Assess your current mattress and sleep issues

Did you know you spend about one third of your life on your mattress? How you sleep is very important in your daily life. Some signs it may be time for a new mattress include but are not limited to: you wake up tired or achy, you sleep better in hotels, your mattress looks saggy or lumpy or if your mattress is about 8 years old.

2. Choose a size

This is the simplest step in the process. If you’re comfortable with the size you currently have, stick with it. However, try to account for factors such as growth, sleep habits and space restrictions.

3. Choose your comfort level

Everyone enjoys a different level of comfort. Some prefer extra firm mattresses and some prefer super soft mattresses. The decision is yours. At Ben’s, we have something for everyone.

4. Do an in-store test

This is the most important step. It is crucial to test out mattresses in-store to determine if you’re making the best choice. You may surprise yourself about what you like best when you start testing mattresses. Remember, firmness levels may vary from brand to brand. Lay down for about 10 minutes, move around, bounce around – don’t worry about what you look like, our salespeople expect this kind of behavior.
